2024 Spring Music Festival
The music department of Appalachian Bible College presents the 2024 Spring Music Festival entitled “Walk On: Songs for the Journey.” Poets and preachers have long utilized the metaphor of walking. To walk is to persevere, to move forward, to progress, and to overcome. Although everyone’s journey is different, each must persevere and faithfully follow the One who has gone before.
This concert includes some classic songs from musicals like “A Million Dreams,” “Bring Him Home,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and “Go the Distance,” as well as some powerful songs of faith like “Wayfaring Stranger,” “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah,” and “I Want Jesus to Walk with Me.” Several different ensembles will be performing in the Festival—the College’s English handbell choir, the Chorale, a youth choir, as well as various other solos and ensembles. The Festival will also feature a display of watercolor murals that depict mountainous landscapes and pathways.
Join us for an evening of enchanting melodies, powerful lyrics, and a celebration of the Christian life. Let the music inspire you to keep walking on, embracing every step along the journey of faith! The public is invited with free admission. The concert will also be streamed at abc.edu/live.
